Holiday Wishes from Colleen Keith President SGNA
Posted almost 11 years ago by Laura Habighorst
The holiday season is a time to reflect and give thanks, and I am so grateful to work alongside bright, compassionate and dedicated individuals that make up SGNA. As I think back on all of the accomplishments we've seen this past year, I would like to acknowledge some key groups and projects.
First, I would like to recognize all of the SGNA volunteers at the regional and national level whose time and energy help strengthen and grow our Society. I would also like to extend my gratitude to SGNA's 2014 sponsors. Without their generous support, our Society would not be able to provide the number of valuable resources and offerings to the GI/endoscopy nursing community. View this short video for some highlights of what we accomplished with our partners.
Thanks to our strong community, SGNA was able to have a wonderful year! Here are just a few highlights from 2014:
Introduced GI Nurses and Associates Week — the new, week-long celebration of our community.Hosted the largest Annual Course in over five years in Nashville, TN. Launched the new Sedation for Gastroenterology Nurses website. Offered $29,000 in scholarship funding with our sponsors. Strengthen infection prevention efforts with the new AIM Program for Champions.
Finally, I want to thank you. As a member of SGNA, your commitment to our specialty and to patients is the heart of our Society. Our membership community is doing great things, making a difference for ourselves, our practice and our patients. Please continue to support the number of initiatives and programs by renewing your membership next year, as we have many exciting plans for 2015.
Wishing you a happy new year!
Sincerely,
Colleen Keith, MBA BSN RN CGRN
SGNA President
